Unicorn Class

The children are taught by Miss Knight  and Mrs Hobson-Gilmore is our teaching assistant.

We are in our third year at North Cadbury Church of England Primary School and we build on the Foundation Stage curriculum. This means that all areas of our learning are given equal importance and that our learning is led by our own needs and interests. We talk to our teachers about how we feel about our learning, what we enjoy and what we would like to get better at. Each half term we start a new topic and use a cross-curricular approach in our day to day activities. English is covered throughout all areas of our learning. We use the outdoors and have lots of visits and visitors to help us to learn too.

Every week one of us is chosen to be the ‘Child of the Week’ during which time we carry out ‘special jobs’ for the teachers and the rest of class and get to take home and write in the class diary. We have the opportunity to share the important things about our lives with the rest of the class.  Everyone also celebrates our talents and what makes us who we are.
